I started on my second prayer shawl this past Monday.  Before I started this prayer shawl, I already had in mind who it would be for, however, I was led by the Holy Spirit to make this prayer shawl for someone other than who I originally had in mind.

This prayer shawl that I am currently working on represents the power of God to heal emotional and spiritual wounds.

This dear lady has been carrying many burdens for many years. I believe God wants to send her a message that this is a time of healing from all of her emotional and spiritual wounds.

When her son was just a teen, he was molested by a very prominent Bishop. To this day she has yet to see any justice or closure.  On up in age now, she is still taking care of her son who has HIV/AIDS.

Even as I type this entry, I know that this prayer shawl with bring hope and be a tangible reminder that God has not forgotten about her and her son and God will repay ….
