Welcome to Beauty for Ashes – Prayer Shawl Ministry. This site is dedicated to chronicling about the shawls that I crochet for women that are in need of spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
I personally believe that God has placed each and everyone of us on this earth to serve Him by serving others in whatever manner he gives us to do so. Our victories, our failures, our trials….. are never about us. But it is to equip us and empower us to be a blessing to others that God will put in our path.
I started crocheting at an early age and continued to do so even til today. Most recently the Holy Spirit impressed upon my heart that he wanted me to give myself in ministry in this way.
Who Can be Blessed by this Ministry?
* Women that are in need of spiritual and emotional healing.
* Women that suffer from sickness and disease.
* Women grieving the loss of a loved one or broken relationship.
There is no charge for a Prayer Shawl. This ministry is funded by donations, sponsored ads on this site and our partner sites: Total You Beauty and Work at Home United.
UPDATE: Due to over whelming response, you or anyone you request a prayer shawl for will be placed on a six month waiting list. Priority will be given on a case by case situation.

ABOUT DEE FOSTER
Pastor DL and Dee Foster
Dee Foster is the Founder and Director of Beauty for Ashes – Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Beauty for Ashes was previously known as Witness for Women until God gave her a new vision for ministry.
Her passion and calling is to minister hope and healing to hurting women through the handcrafted crocheted prayer shawls that she creates.
She learned this craft at the age of 10 and continued to hone this skill even into adulthood.
God has given Dee a unique voice in ministry. The prayer shawls that she creates are a tangible symbol of God’s love and her prayers for each woman’s situation as she crochets and meditates on the Word of God.
Additionally, Dee ministers to hurting women through the spoken Word of God, teaching biblical principles that will empower them to live a victorious life.
Dee also has a special anointing to minister to women who have husbands that struggle with homosexuality. She has served in this area of ministry for over 10 years along side her husband who is the Founder and Director of Witness Ministries.
Dee also serves in her community by providing educational seminars and workshops on various topics such as Resume Writing, Time Management, Self-Improvement, just to name a few.
With a God given entrepreneur spirit, Dee also enjoys helping working moms, like herself, create additional income with a home based business through her partners a Work at Home United. Dee serves the Body of Christ and her community with her husband Pastor DL Foster. Together they are the proud parents of 5 children (1 Adult).
