It appears that everyday I hear about devastating news that concerns complete strangers and people that I know.  Most recently I learned that a the lady that I crocheted a prayer blanket for sometime last year is in her last days of her battle with breast cancer here on earth, unless the Lord performs a miracle.  Her sister is a good friend of mine.  This news was very disappointed, but yet I know God is in control of all situations and circumstances.

I recently had surgery for an ongoing illness that has plagued me for years and it finally progressed to the point where I needed surgery.

When I first started the Prayer Shawl Ministry almost a year ago, I envisioned crocheting shawls that would bring smiles to those who felt hopeless, bring healing to women that were hurting both emotionally and physically.

I started working on a new prayer shawl tonight. I have dedicated this prayer shawl for physical healing as well as peace.  Although I have several people on my waiting list and I normally make them in order of the names being placed on the list plus factoring in the severity of their condition, I am a little unsure of who this one will go to.
