It appears that everyday I hear about devastating news that concerns complete strangers and people that I know. Most recently I learned that a the lady that I crocheted a prayer blanket for sometime last year is in her last days of her battle with breast cancer here on earth, unless the Lord performs a miracle. Her sister is a good friend of mine. This news was very disappointed, but yet I know God is in control of all situations and circumstances.
Some people tend to live from one crisis to the next. If that person is you, I want you to know that God has not forgotten you. It is very easy to believe that God has forsaken us or somehow lost track of us when it in appears that trouble is on every side. I recently had surgery for an ongoing illness that has plagued me for years and it finally progressed to the point where I needed surgery.
I had surgery on May 10th and am now home recovering and will return to work on June 15th. For those of you that knew I was going through, I want to thank you for your prayers. They have made all the difference.
Since beginning my prayer shawl ministry just two days ago, I have received a praise report from Jane’s (Not her real name to protect her privacy) husband.
I started crocheting a prayer shawl for her on Saturday. I immediately began to pray for healing and that she would not suffer much during chemotherapy treatment. This morning her husband informed me that after her test results on Friday, she will not have to undergo chemotherapy to continue her treatment. She will only have to receive hormone therapy to treat the remaining cancer since her surgery last month.
