In case you were wondering what type of yarn I use to crochet my prayer shawls with, I decided to make a post to share the type of yarn that I use.

I started working on a new prayer shawl tonight. I have dedicated this prayer shawl for physical healing as well as peace.  Although I have several people on my waiting list and I normally make them in order of the names being placed on the list plus factoring in the severity of their condition, I am a little unsure of who this one will go to.

I started working on my most recent prayer shawl a couple months ago.  Normally it  only takes me a week at the most to complete a prayer shawl once I start on it.  However, I had some life events that got me a little off track and off focused.

I started on my second prayer shawl this past Monday.  Before I started this prayer shawl, I already had in mind who it would be for, however, I was led by the Holy Spirit to make this prayer shawl for someone other than who I originally had in mind.

As I was working on the prayer shawl today, I took a moment and just ran my hand across the surface and just meditated on the Love of God and knowing that He is with Jane (not her real name) as she battles breast cancer. I thank God that He is already moving on her behalf.

Since beginning my prayer shawl ministry just two days ago, I have received a praise report from Jane’s (Not her real name to protect her privacy) husband.

On yesterday I started crocheting my very first prayer shawl. This prayer shawl is for a friend, whose wife  was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple months ago.

The first entry of my prayer shawl journal is dedicated to Mother Edmonson. Mother Edmonson was diagnosed with breast cancer over one year ago.  Though the doctors only gave her a couple months to live, she lived for another 18 months and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2009.
