I recently had surgery for an ongoing illness that has plagued me for years and it finally progressed to the point where I needed surgery.

I had surgery on May 10th and am now home recovering and will return to work on June 15th. For those of you that knew I was going through, I want to thank you for your prayers. They have made all the difference.
There were so many days that I was ill and not being able to work on prayer shawls for the last several months. ...

When I first started the Prayer Shawl Ministry almost a year ago, I envisioned crocheting shawls that would bring smiles to those who felt hopeless, bring healing to women that were hurting both emotionally and physically.

While almost a year has passed, I certainly have not crocheted the number of shawls that I had hoped, but what I have done so far, I am grateful to God that he has allowed me to touch lives with what I have done so far. And with His strength I will crochet even more ...

In case you were wondering what type of yarn I use to crochet my prayer shawls with, I decided to make a post to share the type of yarn that I use.
I have always been very picky about the type and quality of yarn that I use, irregardless of the project I may be working on at the time. I never cut corners when it comes to investing in yarn, especially for my prayer shawl ministry.
Because my prayer shawls are a representation of my prayers and the love of God, ...

I started working on a new prayer shawl tonight. I have dedicated this prayer shawl for physical healing as well as peace. Although I have several people on my waiting list and I normally make them in order of the names being placed on the list plus factoring in the severity of their condition, I am a little unsure of who this one will go to.

I am currently seeking God for his complete and perfect will as to who this next prayer shawl will be for. My prayer and the ...

I started working on my most recent prayer shawl a couple months ago. Normally it only takes me a week at the most to complete a prayer shawl once I start on it. However, I had some life events that got me a little off track and off focused.

I’m sure that you know that “life has a way of happening” when we least expect it. The first of many several unfortunate events began when my husband and sons were involved in a car accident that totaled our vehicle. Miraculously, they ...

I am currently working on a prayer blanket for a lady that has an aggressive form of breast cancer, known as inflammatory breast cancer. She has already lost both breast and is under going just as equally aggressive chemotherapy.
She is such a young lady. This type of breast cancer most often affects women that are under the age of 40 and even women in their 20s.
I do not know her personally, but her sister is very dear to me and for this reason I wanted to reach out ...

I started on my second prayer shawl this past Monday. Before I started this prayer shawl, I already had in mind who it would be for, however, I was led by the Holy Spirit to make this prayer shawl for someone other than who I originally had in mind.

This prayer shawl that I am currently working on represents the power of God to heal emotional and spiritual wounds.
This dear lady has been carrying many burdens for many years. I believe God wants to send her a message that this is ...

She actually has a choice whether or not to undergo chemotherapy or hormone treatment. Alot of women don’t get that option. Jane is a beautiful lady. I have never met her in person. Have only ...

Since beginning my prayer shawl ministry just two days ago, I have received a praise report from Jane’s (Not her real name to protect her privacy) husband.

I started crocheting a prayer shawl for her on Saturday. I immediately began to pray for healing and that she would not suffer much during chemotherapy treatment. This morning her husband informed me that after her test results on Friday, she will not have to undergo chemotherapy to continue her treatment. She will only have to receive hormone therapy to treat the remaining cancer ...

On yesterday I started crocheting my very first prayer shawl. This prayer shawl is for a friend, whose wife was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple months ago.

I am crocheting the prayer shawl in her favorite color of deep blue. The actual color is from Lion Brand, Home Spun Yard in Colonial.
When I began crocheting the prayer shawl on yesterday, I asked the Lord to give me the focus to finish it as quickly as I can. She had surgery last month to remove the lump from her breast and ...
