The first entry of my prayer shawl journal is dedicated to Mother Edmonson. Mother Edmonson was diagnosed with breast cancer over one year ago. Though the doctors only gave her a couple months to live, she lived for another 18 months and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2009.
It broke my heart to hear of her death. I had planned to crochet a prayer shawl for her. The last I heard was that she was recovering well and I did not expect her death.
The Holy Spirit convicted me. He reminded me of the gift he had placed in my hands. A gift that would bring joy and hope to those that are in need.
