Prayer Shawl for the Loss of A Loved One

I just completed a prayer shawl in candy apple red for a dear lady who lost a close friend to cancer.
Words cannot explain the pain for the lost of a loved one. One thing I believe she takes great comfort in, is knowing that her friend died knowing Jesus as her personal savior.
So she does not have to grieve is someone that has no hope but she knows that even in the pain of loss, she can be comforted know that her friend will see Jesus in peace.
I choice this color specifically because of the blood of Jesus. His blood can take way any pain and bring joy know that it was shed so that we can have victory over the sting of death.

Dear Dee: I love knitting and crocheting, too…I just wish I had more time for it. I love that you made that comforting prayer shawl for your friend. Cancer is so cruel, but it has no power in the face of true Christian love. We welcome little babies into the world with handcrafted blankets. You are right Rev. Sexton, There is no sting of death to those that die in Christ. There is nothing like a prayer shawl wrapped around someone to bring them comfort in the time of sorry. Thank your for your love and prayers.
