As I was working on the prayer shawl today, I took a moment and just ran my hand across the surface and just meditated on the Love of God and knowing that He is with Jane (not her real name) as she battles breast cancer. I thank God that He is already moving on her behalf.

She actually has a choice whether or not to undergo chemotherapy or hormone treatment. Alot of women don’t get that option. Jane is a beautiful lady.  I have never met her in person. Have only seen pictures of her.

I know it may sound strange, but we have never actually spoken but we some how share a special bond through her husband. She is an avid doll collector and has given my daughter dolls two Christmas’ in a row through her husband.

She and I both have an entrepreneurial spirit and I often share my latest endeavors with her husband and I guess he tells her about them. I have often shared free samples of products and I guess some how we just bonded… via her husband. LOL

I hope that I get an opportunity to finally speak to her and even if I don’t. I pray that she will feel the love that I am sending her way through the prayer shawl. Most importantly, the love of Christ that casts out all fear.

I’m sure having a diagnosis of cancer of any kind can be frightening. Suddenly being faced with your mortality can not be easy. I pray her strength and that she will live to see her son graduate, go an to college and have a family of his own.

Lord God, you are able and I thank you in advance for her complete healing. When she finally wraps this shawl around herself, let her feel the warm embrace of your loving arms.
